Beautiful and well maintained campground. Wooded, shady sites with plenty space between them. On a weekend in late May we had whole ground alone Friday night and most Saturday. One other site was occupied sat evening. Several nice hiking trails close by. Downside is the small stream nearby offers little for fishing. Its close to wv92 so you have to hear the occasional car. All in all, nice place to camp and we will go again.

This is basically the budget motel of camp grounds in Monongahela National Forest: small, cheap, and easily accessible from a major road (relatively speaking). The hiking trails are okay, but there's really nothing significant in terms of scenery or recreation options to recommend it. On the other hand, if you just need a place to car camp for a night while passing through, it's a satisfactory and convenient place to pull in, set up a tent, and get some sleep.
